We feel very privileged to have worked on the iconic Daphne Du Maurier Festival – the first time that the organisers have taken on external PR help.
Our role in the run up to the event was to function as a virtual press office – issuing releases, writing and organising features, liaising with partners, sponsors and the media, arranging broadcast opportunities and generally ensuring that news of the terrific programme reached as many people as possible so that large numbers of tickets were sold. We also arranged a press presence for when HRH The Countess of Wessex visited the event, the first member of the royal family to do so in its 14 year history.
Extensive coverage was gained in the national, regional and local media – including Woman’s Hour, Channel 4’s Book Club, The Times and The Independent. There were also regular features in the Western Morning News, Cornwall Today, Cornwall Life, myCornwall and The Cornish Guardian.
