Conscious that everyone is having to cut costs and shop for bargains, Flambards is offering its One2eleven attraction as the venue for a monthly bring-and-buy event.
People are being invited to take a table and sell their unwanted baby and children’s clothes, baby accessories and equipment. Visitors to the indoor play attraction can then buy the items.
“It’s a car boot style sale, except we don’t charge sellers anything and it’s guaranteed to be warm and dry with plenty to entertain the children!” said Flambards Head of Marketing, Susie Hale. “Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment and clothes and baby equipment are expensive and grown out of so quickly it seems a waste not to pass them on to someone else. This way buyers can find good quality items to purchase whilst sellers can recoup some of their initial costs - all we do is provide a venue.”
The Bring-and-Buy sales are held at One2eleven the first Wednesday of every month between 11am and 2pm. They are already proving a huge success amongst local families.
One2eleven receptionist Lisa Tremayne said: “There are some absolute bargains and we are even busier than usual on bring-and-buy days. I talked to one lady who said she normally buys things off eBay but it was much nicer to see and feel the quality of something before you buy it.”
For more details about the sales or to arrange a table to sell items, please contact One2eleven on 01326 554391. The next bring-and-buy will be held on Wednesday 7 March.
Ends 21 February 2012
